Searching for something, not sure what I’ll find…

Searching

I’m searching for something,

I’m not sure what I’ll find.

Could it be way into my future?

Or what I’ve simply left behind?

I seek around every corner,

I seek high, I seek low.

I’ve been here, I’ve been there,

I just don’t know the next place to go.

On days like these I feel empty,

desperately wanting to be fulfilled.

One minute my hope warms me,

the next it turns dark and chilled.

It is there, I know and it patiently waits for me,

I’ll keep searching until I find it, whatever it may be.
