STOP!

Stop!

Stop!…it seems so easy, but it can be one of the hardest things to do!

STOP!

Slow down, take it easy, do not go so fast,

don’t rush through life, pause and reflect on the past.

Today is here now for us to enjoy,

tomorrow has enough of its own to employ.

When we stop and rest and take each moment in,

we may just be surprised at where the best things begin.

Felecia R. Weber, OntheWingofaDove.com

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:33-34

A Quote to Carry You – November 4, 2013

A quote to carry youA Quote to Carry You

November 4, 2013

“So I say to you, do not worry about your life – what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear.  Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?  Look at the birds of the air.  They do not sow or reap or gather into barns; yet your Father in heaven feeds them.  Are you not of more value than they?  And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow.  They neither toil nor spin.  Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.  Now if in this way God clothes the grass – which is here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow – will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?” Matthew 6:25-30

Got worries?…not any more!

Peace to you,

Felecia

I Once Was Lost

I Once Was Lost

I Once Was Lost…but now am found…

“Amazing grace produces amazing faith!” Felecia R. Weber, OntheWingofaDove.com

Isn’t it funny how seeing an image or hearing a phrase can bring to mind a certain tune, or a specific time and place that comes alive from your memory to the present?  That happened to me recently when I came across the words, “I once was lost.”  Can you guess what song immediately popped into my head when I read those words?  You’ve probably guessed right; that old, familiar hymn,  “Amazing Grace.”

Once that song entered into my mind, it stayed with me for a long time. Continue reading

Who Can Match This?

You are there and you hear me when I call out your name.

I am never disappointed; I am always amazed.

You give me clear guidance when I know not where to turn.

You make my paths straight; my horizon is clear. Continue reading

“Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.” Luke 11:4

To forgive:  Freedom, joy, love, prosperity, productivity, abundance, growth, vitality…life itself!  Have you ever thought about what happens when we forgive someone?  These are only a few of the things that flow out of and flourish from that simple act.   Felecia R. Weber, OntheWingofaDove.com

I bid you peace and love,

Felecia

At the End of Myself

At the End of Myself

At the end of myself…where I truly begin.

“I never voyaged so far in all my life.” Henry David Thoreau

It seems strange to say it, but I have an overwhelming sense at the moment, that I am exactly where I am supposed to be in life.  A place that has taken some time for me to reach.  It is a place that I call being at the end of myself.  Wait a minute, you may be thinking…where is she going with this?  Here, let me explain.

I suppose one would describe me as being an individual who is disciplined, hard working, driven, and not afraid to step outside of the box or to take on a challenge.  I never want to miss out on an opportunity that will allow me to improve myself, especially when it comes to my creative interests.  At the same time, there is a part of me that is vulnerable; not always so confident that I can achieve what I set out to do; not always certain that I am heading in the right direction.   Continue reading

Going Farther…

Going Farther

“Daydreaming,” photograph of my niece Leia Gabrielle

Going Farther

Long is the road that we travel in life,

From the fullness of joy, to raging anger and strife.

There are hidden pathways that lure us away,

they distract us for a season, or perhaps just one day.

Doors fling wide open, then slam closed and  tightly shut, Continue reading

A Quote to Carry You – October 21, 2013

A quote to carry youA Quote to Carry You

October 21, 2013

“The important thing is this, to be able to sacrifice at any moment what we are, for what we can become.” Rene Dubois

This quote was printed on a scroll-style banner that was given to me years ago as a college graduation present.  I still have the banner and I am inspired by these words every time I read it.  It seems I never realize how much I have, until I am faced with the possibility of losing it.  Those times seem to be the best of times, when I am strongest and more full of hope.  Nothing lasts forever.  It’s a fine line to walk, enjoying what you have, while being ready to give it up, at any moment,  for what is best.  Something to think about…

Peace,

Felecia
