A Quote to Carry You

“Only when we step outside and into the light, can we know what true darkness is. Darkness cannot exist where there is light…all shadows disappear…all is bright.” (Felecia R. Weber)
The longer I live the more my hunger for meaningful conversation grows. To me it’s like climbing steps; each one takes me to a new height. There is always something new to learn, something new to share with others. Sometimes having a good long chat can make me feel as though I’ve travelled to another part of the world.
“The happiest people are those who think the most interesting thoughts. Continue reading
Love and friendship, can you have one without the other? I believe that both are essential for any relationship to be true, to be real. Love is the glue that holds a friendship together; without it, the relationship simply falls apart.
How much do I love you?
Let me count the ways…
Cliche, cliche, cliche!
I don’t know what to say.
I don’t know how to feel. Continue reading

“A friend is a person with whom I may be sincere. Before him, I may think aloud.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson)
Can you imagine a world without friends? Those special people who are there for you when you need them the most; who are there to share your special moments; who can make you laugh when you might otherwise have cried. To all of you whom I cherish as friends, thank you for being mine!
Peace,
Felecia
There is a time for everything. I live in the northeast and our summer season is in full bloom. The flowers in my garden have reached their peak; the grass is spotted with tan colored strands after so many days under the blazing sun. I’ve even glimpsed some red hues staining the leaves of a few maple trees that dot the canvas of woods along my route to and from work. These changes throughout this happy, care-free season have made me look forward to all of the things that autumn has in store for us to enjoy. Continue reading
This poem was written by my niece and Goddaughter, Alexia, as a Christmas present to my husband and me several years ago. I was very touched by it, because I know that it revealed so much of her heart. Thank you Alexia, for being the precious niece that you are to me.
A poem by Alexia D. Ghering
Each time I walked with eyes cast down
and felt too weak to reach God in prayer,
it was then, he came down to me,
As he watched my footsteps falter.
Within my heart, he poured out his grace,
and gave me strength to walk on farther; Continue reading

“He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge.” (Psalm 91:4)
There are many times when I feel weighed down by the things I call the “vulnerabilities of life.” Those times when I am not strong, when I feel the need to be protected and sheltered from things that threaten to steal my inner joy and peace. Although I do not relish them, it is during those times that I do garner the very strength and confidence that I seek. I wonder if it is the same for you; are you strongest in your weakness?
Peace,
Felecia
“Awake, north wind, and come, south wind! Blow on my garden, that its fragrance may spread everywhere. Let my beloved come into his garden and taste its choice fruits.” (Song of Solomon 4:16 NIV)
Hush, come closer, press against me,
let me hear you.
No, not with words spoken from your lips,
let me know you.
Breath in deeply, exhale slowly,
your thoughts are there, I can feel them. Continue reading
