We’re halfway through the week. It’s almost time to play.
I wrote this poem on a whim after reviewing some scans of my pet portrait portfolio. This little girl, “April”, always puts a smile on my face; I hope she does the same for you. Go on, have fun, play…she’s waiting!
Will You Come and Play with Me?
Romp, play, spin around,
Will you come and play with me?
Throw the ball and I’ll fetch it; I may even catch it!
Will you come and play with me?
I’ll chase my tail, I’ll make you laugh,
Will you come and play with me?
And later on, when we’re all tuckered out,
I’ll snuggle and give you kisses,
Will you love me back?
I hope your day is the kind that allows you to toss away your cares and be free to wander off to a place where you can be free to romp and play and do what you love. Seize each moment that lets you enjoy the simple things in life; the things that make you smile, the things that make you laugh.
“Cast your cares on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

your drawings/illustrations are simply fantastic. Breathtaking. I love them.
Why thank you! I find so much pleasure in drawing…especially dogs, because I love those sweet animals so very much. I even talk to the pictures when I am drawing them…lol! Keep visiting here…I have plenty more to introduce to you! 🙂
LOVE the new HEADER image too! 🙂 And the biblical quote is cool.
Thanks Ray! My heart pauses each time I look at that beautiful dove…I’ve even taken the liberty to name him “David” after the Biblical author of the Psalm (King David). The photo expresses visually, exactly what I want to convey in my posts. 🙂
Love this, makes me want to go home and play with my dogs, Sammy & Jackson!
Awww! Thanks Lew…I am sure “April” would share her toys gladly…not so sure about my boy Bilbo, though!:-). Glad you enjoyed the post!
All I can say is “wow”
Awww, thanks Mom! You know how much I love dogs…Bilbo can vouch for that!:-). I keep “April” hanging on the wall at the office; she really does put a smile on my face in the heat of a busy day!
Love you,
Felecia
