A Quote to Carry You
February 24, 2014
“Sometimes it is in the losing your way that you find your true self.” (paraphrased)
This quote has meant different things to me at different times. In most cases, I’ve identified with it just as it is written; the meaning is clearly and obviously presented. At other times, my focus has been keenly on the losing part.
Peace,
Felecia

Description
"Sometimes it is in the losing your way that you find your true self." (paraphrased)
This gives me hope though, for when I lose something or someone, I lose a part of myself…and that causes me to go deeper and find more of my true self.

So true, Felecia. I never recognized this as part of the loss process, but, looking back, I do really see this as true. We find remote, hidden parts of ourselves in the catharsis of loss.
It’s good to know these regions of our souls. Normally, we are afraid to go there. But there
are riches there worth knowing and nurturing.
You are gifted with a wonderful emotional intelligence, my friend. Thanks for sharing it.
Thanks Pam, what a beautiful way of explaining this…I am glad to know that I am not alone in this understanding, or rather appreciation of where loss can lead us.
Much love always,
Felecia
I think this quote shows us our hidden strength and resilience.
Yes, when we lose something, it is interesting how we fill the empty space.
Peace & love,
Felecia

Indeed it is Mom!
